| Sushi lovers are claiming victory after the Ontario government said it will scrap proposed new rules requiring raw fish to be frozen before being served. In September, the provincial government banned the use of fresh raw fish in sushi and other raw fish specialities. Public heath officials said raw fish could contain parasites that are dangerous. Sushi restaurant owners protested, arguing that freezing changes the texture and flavour. The regulation was overblown, according to one health expert.
