Despite a change in government in New Delhi, India will continue its peace initiatives with Pakistan allaying fears that tensions with its neighbour would impede India's rise, a report has said. "Concerns were raised that the new government would be unable to follow Vajpayee's efforts over the last year to promote a wide-ranging peace initiatives with Pakistan and that new tensions with Pakistan would impede India's rise," a study titled "India report" published by John E Carbaugh, a consultant on Asia, said.  more...
